On my one-click-a-day adventures, I have found many competing game sites. All of these sites have many things in common:
- They have small teams, just a bit bigger than Mr. Tiki’s.
- They are small relatively-unknown sites, just making their start, like Mr. Tiki.
- They all are MMORPGs.
Obviously, this proves a major point. It means that small teams are capable of creating MMORPG’s. They did it, and they are now advertising, so why not Mr. Tiki?
Because, seriously, MMORPG’s are the obvious trend right now. They are everywhere and everything. If Mr. Tiki wants to succeed (which they want to) they MUST have some sort of MMORPG’s elements. Its a given, whether you want it or not. Because even if you don’t like it, it is true, MMORPG is the way to success.
I think Mr. Tiki is capable of it and should do it. Because they are capable of the amazing if they put themselves to it.
And now that they have revenue, it will become a lot easier to do. Just to see proof that they can, just click a banner ad.

ARG!!! Seriously! Trying not to be rude, but: get it through your head!!! Mrtiki is STAYING a Browser based! They aren’t just going to scratch the months and months of work to make an MMORPG. They’d have to pretty much start over. Also, I’m positive that they’ve already decided way back in the beginning when the original idea was conceived. Oh, and if your first mentioning of this didn’t get them to like the idea, the 15th sure as heck won’t.

I like BBMMOs personally… It’s an interesting development on teh intorwebs and I look forward to seeing them develop!
I believe that Mr. Tiki can be an incredibly successful BBMMO – no need for it to morph into an RPG.

MMORPG’s are a trend? Yep… they are popular, but there are alot out there. Why follow a trend when you can make your own way? MrTiki is unique, and it’s uniqueness should be the way to popularity.
There is more then one way to success. Way more then one. Yep… MrTiki could follow the crowd and become successful that way, or MrTiki could use the things we all see as fantastic and build on them.
I like MMORPG’s, yep… but I like MrTiki for all the things it is now, and I think the current way its going is fine ^^ Sure, some MMORPG elements could bring in a few members, but it doesnt need it for success.

Club does have a major point, and I can see where he’s going after reading one too many As The Future Catches You type books. MMOs are the future, and MrTiki should follow, right?
But I don’t believe that. I believe that MrTiki should try for something new. It’s like when browser-based was all the rage… there were way too many, and small, normal ones got no publicity. Now with MMOs, especially with ones like MS and Gaia, both of which tend towards the manga/anime side of the scale, how will MrTiki compete with them?
I vote to just try to be unique. Because it doesn’t matter how functional something is or how good something is if it’s just what everyone else is doing. Ultimately if MrTiki has nothing new to give to its users, we will lose a lot of them. New things are a risk, but if it works, it works well… and then the bigger sites copy from you! Haha!
But it doesn’t have to be immediately. ^^
(And on the other hand, we have over-commercialization. Once that happens, I’m out — it’s not like I have enough time for sites, but I chose MrTiki for its closeness and concern for its users, unlike many other sites which have to deal with sifting out jokes and lies from real concerns. But over-commercialization is so out that I’m not even going to waste my time on it.)

We’re considering some changes to MrTiki that will change the whole experience and format, and also differentiate us. Stay tuned.
