Aside from a landslide of coconuts, there has been a fair bit of news this week! Other than poor Club going back to school, a new shop has popped up in Wootropolis with another in the works and certain areas of the site recieving some pretty handy upgrades! Read on!
The Home Repository is the newest addition to the chic line of shops in Wootropolis. It
(obviously) stocks furniture, walls and floors for our Tiki Homes. About time! We also have pretty firm reason to believe that a Sushi shop will be gracing the site sometime in the near future. Volte6 has put a call out in the Community Assistance forum for all artists to create sushi platter items. Club has also discovered some new species of fish, likely related to the sushi shop!
The individual game pages have recieved an upgrade – they now show how the game will affect your meter, an improved point/TT ratio as well as the plays today and the average TT per play.
This week fryolla was welcomed as the newest site moderator. There was an important promotion here on MTT as well – Emmy has joined us and will be imparting wisdom and fixing mistakes with the best of us before long!
And now for the parade of coconuts released this week. Check our handy Coconut Guide for their solutions!

A new option is available for your home – the sale hut! It is now possible to combine a fence, hut and different style of land on one plot. Previously you could only have one or the other.
Early this week users recieved a warning about a planned TT reset. The original intent was to reduce all bank accounts to 1mil, and would not affect anyone who already had under 1,000,000 TT. However, there were complications and Volte ended up resetting everyone to 1mil, whether they had earned it originally or not. Users with between 1mil and 10mil recieved 1TPC in return, and users above 10mil received 2TPC.

Tiki Homes are well on their way to completion! The admins moved a couple of links around this weekend, so if you’re looking for the preview, click
I’m sad to say that I won’t be reporting the release of kick-butt Tiki Homes. But there have been a few visible changes! A phonograph has appeared and there is a rather jaunty tune playing in the background. This music can be turned off. There are also skulls hanging on the wall and big ‘W’ on the floor made of bones. Not sure what that is about!
up the referring guys!
The number one thing that was keeping users busy this week was the introduction to the release of the Foggy Coast. Two new quests were introduced, as well as a hidden area in the Valley of Secrets. After cracking the code to enter the underground world of the Valley of Secrets, users had to navigate the neverending and very confusing tunnels. The two destinations are the Underground Library (mentioned in ‘The Burrows’ and ‘
There has been a bit of an uproar lately on the lack of help for new users, and their creation of repeat topics and inappropriate suggestions. At my request, the ‘Tonga’ help guide has been made a sticky on the Game Talk, Tips and Tricks board. The hope is that users will see this guide and refrain from creating new boards!
The staff have shown their ingenuity and creativity once again! The Silly Spirit Races were anticipated early this week when users saw Volte and then Tikimaestro take the high score hero spot in the alerts. It wasn’t long before a very rough version of the game was released. The Silly Spirit Race isn’t like other games, and is only available to play during site events. You will know a race has started when an alert appears at the top of the page, or if a small arena appears on the world map. (See left) The prize for winning one of the races is 1TPC. Yours truly was the winner of the first ever race =D
The
mentioned in a Wooprentice chat that spirits will not lose their health as quickly as they did previously. This should help if you have troubles keeping up, and your spirit turns into a totem! Also, you may have noticed that your activity rank did some flip flops this week. These ranks were reset so that certain users can’t establish a monopoly on the top spots! They will reset on a regular basis in the future.
April Fool’s has come and gone, and naturally the Mr Tiki staff couldn’t pass up a chance to mess with us
According to a reliable source, new users now recieve a welcome package when they join the site. As far as we know, it includes a brush, ball and comic. Another step in keeping the new members that join!
March is nearly over! I wonder what April will hold for MrTiki?
